When conducting SEO on a website, immediate rankings are never (and should never be) guaranteed. Any company who guarantees you the top spot on Google for your keywords is selling something that's not necessarily impossible, but something that's more than likely implausible.
Being involved in professional SEO campaigns for years, we like to explain that SEO is an investment that pays back over time, and it's an investment that can increase ranking and online visibility, but we're not Google and cannot guarantee search engine placement.
SEO vs. SEM
Business Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
A large part of business SEO is being able to be found by users searching for your products and services. We use analytical data to research how users are finding your website and enhance your website's ranking using that research.
Another important aspect of SEO is telling search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing more about your website and its content. Search engines like knowing more about websites and will statistically rank a website higher when they know more about it.
Bits of information, meta tags, and keywords are added into the content that inform search engines of the website's purpose and context. Search engines will index your website and search for more information often, especially if you're blogging and updating content regularly. Business SEO is what we like to refer to as an investment because it helps grow rankings organically over time.
Business Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
SEM uses pay-per-click (PPC) advertisements to funnel users to a website faster based on what keyword those users are searching for. Each keyword is given a "click price tag", and you will need to specify a total ad budget for the given time period (usually a month). When one of your ads are clicked, the cost of that keyword is subtracted from your total ad budget because the user clicked on your link and visited your website or product page. Once you have reached your ad budget for the month, your ad will no longer appear. All of the ads at the top of the search engine results pages on Google are SEM / PPC advertisements. SEM is what we like to refer to as an expense because the cost per click is consumed as soon as a user clicks your link.
SEO & SEM Simultaneously
SEO and SEM are recommended to be used in tandem when starting any PPC or online ad campaign to boost clicks and awareness fast. Over time, SEO will be growing traffic organically and you can adjust your marketing budget more towards SEO and less for SEM.
For small websites, our SEO pricing is standardized across the board at $149.00 / month with a one year service agreement. This covers up to 20 pages and may change depending on the size of the website, industry competition, and other factors.
For all SEM campaigns, there is no set price per month. This is because every website and ad campaign is different. You tell us what your marketing goals are, and we'll provide some cost-accessible options for getting more traffic to your website.
